Has everyone knows the Internet, Facebook and Twitter has become the new way to find out information and news out quickly.
Everyone has access to social media all the time via mobile phones, computers, laptops and IPADS; therefor finding out the latest news online is easier than waiting for the news paper to publish the story the next day. Social media is useful to get quick news out such as an artist releasing a new song or appearing at an event. Whereas social media hasn't got the same affect it a crisis for big organisations. The tools from old media which is still essential are;

All types of media is essential for many different reasons . However, old type media is essential in times of crisis or to get new information out to the public such as new products and things that may affect the public.There are pro's and con's for both old and new media
New media
- Instant access to news
- Interaction
- Transparency
Old media
- Trustworthy
- Hear the news from the important people in the company (C.E.O's)
- Creditability/Accountability
From a recent poll carried out I asked if you would prefer to read news online or access from a news paper and 65% of you said that you would prefer to read the news in a paper which shows that old media will never completely disappear. New media and old media both work best along side each other which gives people a variety in different ways for finding out the latest news.
